Young Footballers Academy (YWFA) is a football coaching academy based in Plymouth, Devon, operating the Young Women’s Football Academy and the Young Lads Football Academy.

Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or registering your child for any YWFA session, programme, or service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or register for our services.
Our Services
YWFA provides football coaching sessions, training programmes, and related services for children and young people in Plymouth and the surrounding area. Services include weekly academy sessions, elite performance sessions, striker training, Games Night sessions, training takeovers, and any future products or services offered through our online shop.
Session details including dates, times, venues, and availability are subject to change. We will always endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any changes via email or our social media channels.
Registration & Bookings
Registration for YWFA sessions is completed via the contact form on our website or by contacting us directly. A place is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation from YWFA.
YWFA reserves the right to refuse or cancel a registration at its discretion.
Places are limited. We recommend registering early to avoid disappointment.
Fees & Payment
Session fees are as agreed at the point of registration. YWFA reserves the right to update pricing with reasonable notice.
Where an online shop is in operation, full payment is required at the time of purchase. All transactions are processed securely via our payment provider.
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation by you: If you wish to cancel your child’s place, please notify us as soon as possible by emailing ywfa2025@hotmail.com. Refund eligibility will be considered on a case-by-case basis at YWFA’s discretion.
Cancellation by YWFA: If we are required to cancel a session due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to adverse weather, venue unavailability, or coach illness), we will notify you as soon as possible. In such cases we will offer an alternative session date or a credit. Refunds will be considered where an alternative cannot be provided.
Shop purchases: If you have purchased a product through our online shop and wish to return it, please contact us at ywfa2025@hotmail.com within 14 days of receipt. Items must be unused and in their original condition. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Parental Consent & Responsibility
By registering your child for YWFA sessions you confirm that:
You are the parent or legal guardian of the child being registered. Your child is in good health and fit to participate in physical activity. You will inform YWFA of any medical conditions, injuries, or special requirements that may affect your child’s participation. You consent to your child receiving basic first aid treatment in the event of a minor injury during a session. You understand that YWFA coaching sessions involve physical activity and accept that minor injuries can occur despite our best efforts to maintain a safe environment.
Safeguarding & Child Protection
YWFA takes the safety and welfare of every child seriously. All YWFA coaches are DBS checked and hold a Safeguarding Children certificate. We operate in line with FA safeguarding guidelines.
If you have a safeguarding concern please contact us immediately at ywfa2025@hotmail.com or contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000.
Photography & Media
YWFA may take photographs or video footage during sessions for use on our website and social media channels. If you do not wish your child to be photographed or filmed please notify us in writing at ywfa2025@hotmail.com before your child’s first session. We will ensure your child is excluded from any media content.
We will never share images or footage of children without parental consent.
Behaviour & Code of Conduct
All players, parents, and guardians are expected to behave respectfully toward coaches, other players, and venue staff at all times.
YWFA reserves the right to remove a player from a session or withdraw their place from the academy if their behaviour, or the behaviour of their parent or guardian, is deemed disruptive, abusive, or unsafe. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
Limitation of Liability
YWFA takes all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of every player at our sessions. However, participation in football and physical activity carries an inherent risk of injury. YWFA and its coaches accept no liability for:
Injury sustained during sessions where reasonable care has been taken. Loss or damage to personal property brought to sessions. Any circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general information only. We make no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of the information provided.
